San Francisco's Berggruen Gallery is coming to the beach. From May 14 to Septemer 30, the pop-up gallery will exhibit a smorgasbord of modern and contemporary works, from post-war iconoclasts like Helen Frankenthaler and Wayne Thiebaud to today's rising stars Odili Donald Odita and Diana al-Hadid. As the East End heats up under the summer sun, Thiebaud's dripping, sweet seascapes and candy and Odita's punchy colors make for a refreshing reprieve.
