Press Release

Berggruen Gallery is proud to present this week's online exhibition featuring an exclusive view of new works by eight Berggruen Gallery artists. We invite you to enter our private viewing rooms to engage with recent creations by:

Bruce Cohen
Mark Fox
Michael Gregory
Isca Greenfield-Sanders
Paul Kremer
Tom McKinley
Linda Ridgway
Lucy Williams

The current online exhibition demonstrates the unique breadth of subject matter, composition, medium, and technique demonstrated by this group of American artists. McKinley and Williams enrapture their viewer with architectural geometries portrayed in astounding clarity. Both artists create peopleless scenes that are soothing yet thought-provoking, immaculate yet daring, and linear yet seemingly limitless. For Cohen, Gregory, and Greenfield-Sanders, a more formal exploration of the natural world takes place. Studying the movement of color and light, each artist renders his still lifes and landscapes with remarkable precision, depth, and a touch of whimsy. Lastly, though Fox, Kremer and Ridgway employ different mediums, each artist plays with spatial dimensionality to activate the visual field. For these three artists, negative space and shadows carry enormous weight in their explorative works.

While the gallery remains closed, we continue to be fully operational online. You can visit our website and Instagram to engage with us as we #GalleryFromHome! As always, if you have any inquiries please email us at info@berggruen.com.
