Richard McLean
Biography
Richard McLean was born in 1934 in Hoquiam, Washington. After earning his B.F.A. specializing in painting at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California in 1958, he artist continued his education at Mills College and graduated in 1962.
It was primarily only after 1972, at the Kassel Documenta Fair, that Richard McLean became well known. The imagery in his photorealistic style paintings consist of horses, landscapes, and rural outdoor scenes.
